This Energy Services Construction Project Manager position will work closely with the Sales Project Manager, on-site Account Project Manager, and Construction Manager and coordinate the efforts of the Construction Coordinators and Safety & Health Coordinators to ensure efficient project execution and fully meet Robins AFB deadlines and contract requirements. This new Project Manager position will manage the schedules, scope, and budgets for all projects and the performance of all engineering, construction, and safety contractors.
Several major energy conservation projects are currently under construction or scheduled for construction at Robins AFB. Additional projects are currently being priced for formal proposals or in the IGA (Investment Grade Audit) phase. A “fence to fence” preliminary audit for all remaining facilities at RAFB (approx. 13,000,000 square feet) was also recently awarded. This Construction Project Manager position is vital to fully meeting customer expectations and realizing the full potential of this partnership with Robins AFB.
Candidate will need to live a commutable distance from Robins AFB. Relocation benefits are available with this position.
This position will be responsible for the following:
Ensuring effective construction coordination and project management for all energy services and conservation projects at Robins AFB
Managing engineering and construction contractor performance and provide consistent feedback on work methods and planning
Ensuring that contractors work safely and efficiently, and project construction is on schedule, quality work, and within budget
Reviewing project work plans and make recommendations and corrections as needed
Providing field and technical support to team as required to meet customer needs and expectations
Reviewing and approving final invoicing from contractors
Coordinating timely delivery and ensuring all materials are properly accounted for during construction and upon job completion
Working closely with Power & Energy Services team to build and strengthen relationships with customers and internal and external partners
Working closely with Power & Energy Services team to promote sales and address design, construction, and maintenance issues

Bachelor’s level degree in Engineering preferred
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
The following licenses and certifications will be considered a plus:
Professional Engineering License
General Contractors License
CEM (Certified Energy Manager)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
OSHA & Army Safety Certifications
Minimum of five (5) years coordinating/managing the engineering, construction, and maintenance of turnkey energy efficiency services projects including the following:
HVAC and chiller upgrades
Heating and boiler systems
LED lighting retrofits
Motor and pump replacements
Proven success with military, governmental, and large industrial customers preferred
Proven leadership experience preferred
Experience managing contractors required
Experience managing competitive bid process and selecting contractors
Experience providing detailed safety plans and ensuring OSHA requirements are fully met
Prior military service experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Working knowledge of practices, techniques, & equipment used in energy efficiency services construction and maintenance
Proven record of safe work behaviors
Working knowledge of Gantt Charts and Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar scheduling software
Ability to work in a self-directed environment
Effective interpersonal & written communication skills, including with customers
Ability to make sound decisions & solve problems
Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, & communicate construction plans & specifications
Ability to build & maintain effective working relationships
