Job Summary
This position will be accountable for all maintenance activities associated with the FGD and SCR systems at Plant Scherer. Some of the core functions of this position include providing technical support, outage planning and coordination, routine maintenance planning, project coordination, outage and baseline budget tracking within the areas of the FGD and SCR systems and associated equipment.
This position will be filled at a level 5 based on experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Improve the availability, efficiency, and reliability of the FGD and SCR systems and associated equipment in an economic manner
Provide coordination and technical direction for the maintenance work activities of mechanical, electrical, I&C and contractors
Establish the work priorities for team members to provide a timely response to equipment or system problems
Develop and execute special improvement projects for the FGD and SCR systems and associated equipment
Develop and monitor budgets (current, 5 year and 10 year) for FGD and SCR
Support and review Root Cause Analyses on the system
Perform Walkdowns for the FGD and SCR systems to identify maintenance and housekeeping issues
Coordinate the purchase and procurement of material required for identified work in which needed materials are not provided by the warehouse
Must have a thorough understanding of relevant computer applications in order to monitor work order progress, parts status, and labor utilization
Establish an ongoing relationship with key vendors, SCS personnel and plant engineering; gather and analyze acceptance data on new/rebuild equipment and stay informed of current technology
Must be available for call-out responsibilities on a 24-hour basis to address priority maintenance needs
Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
A technical degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements:
Experience related to FGD and SCR maintenance and/or operation 3 years required
Advatech Scrubber Technology experience is strongly preferred
Relevant Project Management experience is strongly preferred
Budgeting experience is preferred
Working knowledge of PSM processes is preferred
Contractor coordination experience is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of Chapter 12 is preferred
Knowledge of applicable environmental rules and regulations is preferred
Must have excellent oral and written communications
Experience developing reports and presentations is desired
Ability to analyze critical situations and determine competent solutions in a safe and effective manner
Knowledge of the 4-week planning process, MAXIMO, CiMS, and purchasing process.
Experience in PRB operation is preferred.
Experience in relevant computer applications (Maximo, OIS, and various Microsoft Office software programs)
