Executive Assistant

Job Summary

This position provides a broad range of administrative support to the Vice President, Power Delivery and Division Operations and the Vice President, External Affairs and Customer Growth. Duties will include but are not limited to scheduling and coordinating meetings, managing executive calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, timekeeping, and preparing expense reports and other forms of Oracle Cloud payments. There is a possibility that the incumbent may be assigned to support different executives in the future.



  • High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working in an administrative position, preferably supporting a senior leader in the organization.

  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling work.

  • Experience with timekeeping, expense reporting, arranging travel, and coordinating meetings.

  • Ability to manage an executive-level calendar and incoming inquiries with minimal direction.

  • Ability to professionally represent the executive offices at Mississippi Power Company including professional interactions with other executives, managers, peers, department employees, external organizations, and vendors.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task and proactively prepare for upcoming meetings and events.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong decision-making ability.

  • Ability to work individually and with a team.

  • Ability to work under general direction, on multiple tasks with demanding timelines.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Ability to work with different types of technology in scheduling conference calls, video teleconferencing and meeting logistics.
