Social Media Analyst

**This position will require you to be ON-SITE, FULL-TIME @ GA Power Headquarters @ 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA.

** This position is ideal for the new team member who has 1-2 years relevant, professional experience with Social Media. Additional experience is welcome!

Please note, most travel will be within the state of GA and will be limited to day trips.

Job Description:

Georgia Power is seeking a talented and motivated Social Media Analyst/Admin to join our Corporate Affairs team.

** The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our social media team by handling administrative tasks and analytics, such as listening reports and monitoring.

This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, news, and customer feedback.

  • Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to measure the success of campaigns.

  • Support the Social Media Manager in engaging with followers during crisis events such as storm restoration.

  • Monitor key terms and accounts daily.

  • Handle administrative tasks related to social media management, such as scheduling posts and organizing content calendars.

  • Prepare and present social media listening reports to provide insights and recommendations.

  • Assist in optimizing paid social to match industry trends.

  • Support content creation with photo and video shoots in the field (previous social media content creation experience is a plus but not a requirement.)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience working in Social Media for a company, school elective, or applicable work.

  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube).

  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).

  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.
