Human Resources Business Partner – Sales & Marketing
The Human Resources Business Partner acts as an internal management consultant for the Georgia Power Sales & Marketing organization. This includes providing strategic HR consulting and services to client groups in support of achieving business results. Areas that are specifically targeted include: leadership and team effectiveness, organizational effectiveness and design, workforce planning, leadership development, performance management, compliance with HR policies & procedures and compensation. Some overnight travel is required. This position will be located in Atlanta, Ga.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure successful implementation and delivery of Human Resources products and services to client groups
Ensure the Human Resources organization’s strategic and tactical initiatives are effectively executed
Consult with management of client organizations on HR business planning, organizational needs, and business strategies
Maintain a work environment that emphasizes professional excellence, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and personal growth
Provide a high level of customer service that is cost effective and value added
Collaborate with HR centers of expertise including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to develop and deliver programs that support business objectives
Partner with Georgia Power’s Sales & Marketing leaders and internal committees to provide strategic support for all HR initiatives
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Certifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Graduate degree a plus
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Experience :
Proactive consulting experience in all major HR disciplines
5 years of experience in HR business partner functions working with a broad range of employees preferred
2 years working with commission-based compensation plans preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Demonstrated technical knowledge of all major Human Resources disciplines including performance management, leadership development, succession & development planning, compensation, employee relations, policies & practices, workforce planning & strategic staffing, project management, organizational effectiveness principles, metrics, and change management
Demonstrated ability to consult with all levels of executives/management
Analytical skills used to interpret data such as demographics, employee assessments, employee surveys, retention and workforce trends
Ability to integrate HR strategic initiatives with functional business units' business plans to create strategic workforce solutions such as process improvement, change management or organizational effectiveness initiatives
Proficiency in HR and Microsoft computer applications
Strong leadership skills: influencing, developing and coaching employees & leaders and motivating others
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and to manage multiple responsibilities
Ability to diplomatically offer objective and creative solutions
Ability to respect and maintain confidential and sensitive information
Ability to champion and influence change and a willingness to take risks
Ability to build effective client relationships and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to consulting services
Outstanding facilitation, listening, & presentation skills
Ability to be a supportive and participative team member with a high level of personal initiative and responsibility while working independently with limited direction
Strong results orientation
Ability to understand and provide guidance regarding the company's compliance efforts with respect to human resource's practices, policies, and regulatory requirements
