Job Summary:

The primary duties of the Concrete Laborer are to assist with the emplacement of reinforced slabs used in the installation of power distribution generator equipment in accordance with project specifications. The Concrete Laborer will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of his/her crew members along with the completion of each project they are assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

  • Minimum of one year experience as a Concrete Laborer.

  • Ability to read construction drawings / blueprints highly preferred.

  • Must be willing and able to travel 75-85%+ as required (driving company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary).

  • Ability to proficiently read and communicate in English.

  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of construction processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the proper forming, reinforcement, footer emplacement, and surface finishing of concrete emplacement slabs.

  • Must be punctual, organized, and professional.

  • Properly use hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain safe and healthy work sites by following company standards and procedures and complying with legal requirement.

  • Proficiently learn all aspects of the installation.

  • Properly communicate with Senior Staff to ensure each project is installed safely and within estimated project timelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Travel required (75-85%+), must be willing and able to drive company vehicle and/or fly commercially if necessary.

  • Must be able to stand or walk for 3-4 hours at a time.

  • Must possess the manual dexterity to operate hand tools.

Work environment may include, but are not limited to the following: Exposure to weather in varying climates, exposure to noise intensity levels, exposure to energized electrical equipment, exposure to overhead hazards (crane & rigging), and exposure to heavy machinery.
